Sonamasjid Land Port is situated on the Bangladesh-India Border line in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj district, Rajshahi Division, Sonamasjid Land Port is the largest privately operated land port in Bangladesh. Amongst all land ports in the country, Sonamasjid Land Port is the 2nd Largest Land Port just after Government operated Benapole Land Port. Under Public Private Partnership (PPP) between Bangladesh Landport Authority (BLPA) and Panama Sonamasjid Port Link Ltd (PSPLL), the operator started its commercial operations on May 20, 2010.  The Land Port covers around 19.13 acres of Land and equipped with state of the art equipment’s and facilities. This includes environment friendly steel-structured warehouses, vast transshipment yard, RCC yards, solar powered cold storage, advanced fire safety system, rainwater harvesting system, 24/7 uninterrupted power supply, heavy machinery, digital weight measurement system and skilled management.
